Jimmy Merritt,
Owner
Jimmy Merritt is an experienced construction professional with diversified experience working and managing both civil and vertical construction projects. From a young age, Jimmy’s father instilled in him to never shirk a task and always put forth 100%. This work ethic and solution-oriented attitude are among Jimmy’s most significant assets he brings to the project team.
Jimmy has been a leader in the construction field for over 20 years. He is passionate about completing the task at hand the right way the first time. Having worked with a broad range of personalities and age demographics has helped him develop the necessary tools to understand the team’s needs and how to best strategize and coordinate to overcome any obstacles that may lie ahead.
When not at work, you can find Jimmy enjoying time with family and friends.
As a lifelong Montrose resident with a history of small business ownership, Laura has built a career rooted in entrepreneurship, community engagement, and collaboration. Drawing on years of hands-on experience running and supporting local businesses, she understands the challenges and rewards of growing something from the ground up.
With a strong background in operations and human relations, Laura brings structure, strategy, and a people-first mindset to every project. Known for advocating for both crews and clients, Laura fosters open communication, safety, and respect across all levels of the job site. By combining precision in management with genuine care for people, she contributes to not only the building of projects—but also to building strong, lasting relationships that drive success within the community.
Laura is committed to the idea that small businesses are the backbone of thriving communities. As such, when she is not working as part of the Merritt Contracting Team, she can be found operating other small businesses within the community.

Todd Bouldin,
Superintendent
Todd is a seasoned construction professional with over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial building, specializing in custom home construction in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He has a proven track record as a lead superintendent on a wide range of projects, including, but not limited to, affordable housing, multi-family, new construction, TIs, and remodels. Combining deep hands-on skills with strong site management, safety oversight, and risk assessment, Todd has a passion for completing projects on time and budget.
Known for adaptability, craftsmanship, and leadership on complex building projects, Todd is also certified in OSHA-30, CPR, heavy equipment operation, and SPRAT (rope access safety).
Originally from Arkansas, Lillian has called western Colorado home for the past 25 years. She holds a BBA in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design, a Master’s Certification in Project Management, and is a certified PMP.
Her professional background includes owning an IT business and leading enterprise-level projects, including SAP implementations.
Outside of work, Lillian enjoys exploring the outdoors and taking advantage of Colorado’s active lifestyle.
